Halifax Health - Cancer Center for Hope in Daytona Beach welcomes new doctor

Grant Cancer Center for Hope.

DAYTONA BEACH, Fla. – Halifax Health – Charles L. & Miki N. Grant Cancer Center for Hope welcomes Cesar De Las Casas, MD, MPH as medical oncologist/hematologist.

He has an extensive leadership background and has deep service in veteran healthcare.

After receiving his medical degree from Universidad Peruana – Cayetano Heredia in Lima, Peru, Dr. De Las Casas completed an Internal Medicine internship and residency at Baylor College of Medicine in Houston, Texas.

He then completed a Medical Oncology and Hematology Fellowship at The University of Texas M.D. Anderson Cancer Center in Houston, Texas while earning a Master’s degree in Public Health.

Throughout his professional career, Dr. De Las Casas has held professorships at MD Anderson Cancer Center and The University of Texas Health Science Center.

He has also served as a director or chief of oncology at several recognized medical facilities including Audie L. Murphy Memorial Veterans Hospital.
