Funeral service for Nick Rohovie, age 84, of Edgewater, who died Sunday, August 1, 2010 at Hospice of Volusia/Flagler, Edgewater, will be 10:00 a.m. Wednesday, August 4 at Settle-Wilder Chapel, New Smyrna Beach.
Entombment will follow at Sea Pines Memorial Gardens, Edgewater. Calling hours will be 5:00-7:00 p.m. Tuesday, August 3 at Settle-Wilder Chapel.
Born in Heilwood, Pennsylvania, Mr. Rohovie, a WWII Veteran, served in the U.S. Navy 1942-1945. He was a member of St. Gerards Mission Church, the Moose Lodge, and American Legion Post 285, all in Edgewater, and American Legion Post 17 in New Smyrna Beach. He also enjoyed volunteering at the Brannon Center in New Smyrna Beach.
Survivors include his wife of 61 years, Caroline; son, Nick Rohovie, his wife, Ana, and their 2 sons, Nicholas and Marcus, and son, Richard Rohovie, his daughter, Sheila, and his sons, Richard and Mathew; sister, Irene Harenza; brother Dan Rohovie; and 1 great grandchild, Alana.
