Funeral service for Brenda Sue Carson Jontes, age 36, of Deltona, who died Thursday, August 5, 2010 at Hospice of Volusia/Flagler, Edgewater, will be 2:00 p.m. Monday, August 9, at Bella Vista Baptist Church, Edgewater, with Pastor John Marsh, Bella Vista Baptist Church, Pastor Barry Campbell, Glencoe Baptist Church, New Smyrna Beach, and Pastor Morgan Campbell, Orange Baptist Church, Live Oak, officiating.
Burial will follow at Sea Pines Memorial Gardens, Edgewater. Friends may call from 1:00 p.m until service time at the church. Born in New Smyrna Beach, Mrs. Jontes, a secretary in the housing industry, was a lifelong resident of this area, and a 1992 graduate of New Smyrna Beach High School. She was a loving wife and mother, attended Bella Vista Baptist Church, and enjoyed working in her flower garden.
Survivors among many loving family members include her husband, Robert; 1 daughter, Hannah; and 2 sons, Bobby and Joshua, all of Deltona; her mother and father, Mable and Hugh "Bill" Carson, of Edgewater; 1 sister, Patricia Ricketts and her husband Bob; 1 brother, Larry Carson and his wife Nancy; 1 niece, Sarah Carson; 2 nephews, Greg Carson and Cole Jontes; father-in-law, Robert M. Jontes, Jr. of Samsula; mother-in-law, Nancy Lee and her husband Ken of Lake Helen; grand parents-in-law, Bob and Pauline Jontes of Samsula; brother and sister-in-law, Scott and Katie Jontes of Port Orange; and grand-parents-in-law, Jake and Marie Hintz of Samsula.
