NEW SMYRNA BEACH -- The Little Theatre's WonderLand program has scheduled two Monday thru Friday five day camps for young thespians during the week of March 14.

For children ages 7 to 12, the fun begins at 9 a.m. Attendees will begin classes in the morning, break for lunch, and continue through the early afternoon until 3 p.m.

This one-week camp will explore musical theatre pieces to learn about the popular American Musical. Students will participate in creative dramatic games and other theatre activities to improve their drama skills.

The theatre camp focuses on scenes and songs from popular Broadway Musicals. Lessons include scenes from "Annie," "Sound of Music," "Peter Pan," "Oliver" or other popular shows (and maybe a few not so well known ones.)

Attendees will put together their own show like the popular America's Got Talent or American Idol. They will bring their own lunch and snacks. This camp will include a Musical Theatre review with parents and friends who will be invited on the last day to view the performance. Tuition is $115.

For teens, WonderLand Theatre has scheduled a week of exciting comedy improv classes that will start at 4 p.m. each afternoon and run until 5:30 p.m.

Students will be given creative exercises by their instructor where they will improvise their way out of challenging situations, learning the dramatic skills that require no formal script and are fun to do. They'll think on their feet, work together to solve problems and create interesting characters.

There will be a show and tell for the parents and friends at the end of the camp.

Tuition is $75. Pre-enrollment is necessary and class sizes are limited. Limited financial scholarships are available for students seeking assistance. For more information,Little Theatre Box Office at 386-423-1246 or visit us online at WonderLandTheatre.org for additional information.
