OAK HILL -- Now that its almost the end of the school year, people need to reflect on how well Burns Sci-Tech. Charter School has done.

We have won awards for the best school, our teachers have gotten the Crystal Apple Award for excellence and we have almost 100 kids on the waiting list for next year.

It just goes to show you what a determined community we have to make things better. our kids are our future, and the ones going to Burns are getting a diversified education besides learning their ABCs.

As an Oak Hill city commissioner and the vice mayor, I am so very proud to have been a part of getting a school back here in our community. Certainly the credit goes to all who were a part of that dream.
