FLAGLER BEACH – The Flagler Fish Company is proud to announce it is celebrating eight years in business this week.

“We are thrilled to be celebrating our eighth anniversary,” Flagler Fish Company owner Chris Casper told Headline Surfer. “We attribute our success, and we are so grateful, to our loyal following and all of the visitors who come to Flagler Beach each year.”

To honor its eighth year in business, Flagler Fish Company, located at 180 South Daytona Ave. in Flagler Beach, is offering a “Locals Only” discount to Flagler County residents anytime between 2 and 6 p.m. any day. Diners simply need to show their Florida driver’s license or ID that has a Flagler County address on it and they will receive a 16% discount off their retail fish, seafood or prime beef purchase. The 16 represents eight years in business times 2.

Flagler Fish Company opened its doors in Flagler Beach in 2005. It offers a wide selection of fresh fish and shellfish. The selection varies on a daily basis, including fish such as cobia, grouper, flounder, cod, triggerfish, local shrimp, salmon, tuna and more.

Flagler Fish Company also carries USDA Prime hand cut rib-eye, filet mignon, and New York strip. The indoor and outdoor restaurant offers daily appetizer and dinner specials. Some of tits most popular items are steamed mussels, shrimp ‘n grits and Asiago potatoes.

Creative gourmet sides include the portabella, tomato asparagus salad, Cole’s Slaw, fish sandwiches, Maine lobster, shrimp salad, seared tuna, USDA Prime beef burgers, and full plate salads. Creative soups and chowders round out their gourmet offerings.

Flagler Fish Company is a slow foods recognized restaurant, meaning that it sources and use a good deal of local products. It is also registered with the “Fresh from Florida” program as a restaurant that uses Florida fish, shellfish, and produce. It also offers 30 different wines that are constantly evolving, as well as a selection of premium and domestic beers.

The owners of Flagler Fish Company pride themselves on being "green" by recycling daily, paying more to be able to use recyclable take out containers (no styrofoam), and carrying only recyclable straws, to-go containers, drink cups and cutlery.
