MONTPELIER, Vt. -- They tried to scare us with this government shutdown business.

Just more hyperventilating by the limp-wristed media. Shoot, the shutdown comes and life has not changed one iota for most Americans. Obviously, it's a waste of time paying attention to these Flight 93 / doomsday forecasters.

We're all better off ignoring the hype and putting our feet up and having a snack.
