MONTPELIER, Vt. -- Man! Tried to go get gas early in the morning and couldn't get out of the driveway.

I spent an hour shovelling, putting down sand on the hill. But I got out. Did it. I wasn't going to be denied (plus I had to get my car back in the garage before the plows came).

And shovelling lots of snow revealed it.
