6 confirmed dead in S. Florida walkway bridge collapse
YouTube download / AP video / Police confirmed Friday morning that at least six people are confirmed dead in the collapse of a pedestrian bridge near Miami. Crews are now conducting a search and recovery operation, looking for more victims.
DAYTONA BEACH, Fla. -- With only one biker fatality on Monday, the 2018 Bike Week motorcycle rally has been a fun-fiulled adventure heading into the final weekend of the 10-day event.
So far, a motorcyclist from New York killed in Holly Hill remains the lone roadway fatality.
The wreck at Flomich and State avenues took place at 8:10 p.m., according to a report from Florida Highway Patrol. The rider, identified Wednesday as 54-year-old David Remchuck of Hornell, NY, was thrown from his 2005 Harley-Davidson after he struck a utility pole while westbound on Flomich.
