Memorial service for Frank Willard Burgess, age 78, of Edgewater, who died Monday, June 7, 2010 at Bert Fish Medical Center, New Smyrna Beach will be 11:00 a.m. Saturday, June 12 at Friendship Community Church, Edgewater, with Pastor Tim McCardle, officiating. Burial will be in Lakemont Memorial Gardens, Davidsonville, Maryland.
Born in Northampton County, North Carolina, Mr. Burgess, a U.S. Air Force veteran, moved to this area in 2000 from Lanham, Maryland. He was a member of Friendship Community Church, where he was an usher, and loved gardening.
Survivors include his wife, Phyllis; 3 daughters, Donna Whitaker of Arnold, Maryland, Sandy Burgess and Brenda Chabot ; 1 son, Jeff Burgess; 6 brothers and sisters, Peter, Janice Hall, Clyde, Jean Davis, Donnie Burgess and Connie Burgess; 13 grandchildren; and 1 great grandchild.
