Funeral service for Corinne P. King, age 94, of New Smyrna Beach, who died on Sunday, August 29, 2010 after a lengthy illness, will be 11:00 a.m. Thursday, September 2 at Settle-Wilder's New Smyrna Beach Chapel, with The Reverend Luke McKinney, officiating. Burial will follow at Daytona Memorial Park, Daytona Beach. Calling hours will be 6:00-8:00 p.m. Wednesday, September 1 at Settle-Wilder Chapel, New Smyrna Beach.

Born in Stewart, Mississippi, Mrs. King, a homemaker, was a member of First Baptist Church in New Smyrna Beach since 1945. A former Sunday School teacher, she held various positions in the church, was a former member of Beta Sigma Phi, New Smyrna Beach, and loved working in the yard with her flowers.

Survivors include 2 daughters, Margie Barnes and her husband Skip and Annette Young and her husband, Mel, all of New Smyrna Beach; 5 grandchildren, Lynette Collina and her husband, Ken, Albert Walsh and his wife, Gloria, Tammy Hobbs and her husband, Matt, Mel Young III, Tom Young and his wife, Lisa; 1 sister, Ozell Stephenson; 10 great grandchildren, 4 great-great grandchildren, a great niece and great nephew, and many friends. Mrs. King was preceded in death by her husband of 60 years, Albert C. King on January 20, 1993.

A special thank you goes to her great granddaughter, Geralyn George and her husband, Rodney, for the care they gave her in their home.
