With Glen-Beckoning enthusiasm, waving his down-with-government flags, the tea-brained American citizen is ready to vote his economic survival into the pockets of the wealthiest 2 percent of the nation at the sacrifice of his social security and Medicare.
Welcome to the Third World, folks: to the tyranny of corporate thievery and greed-governed plutocracy over the dead body of the American Middle Class. Let’s all amen the ignorance of people who vote against their own interests; who find it “entertaining to be manipulated by hate-mongering liars like Rush Limbaugh and Crockodile-tears Beck.
I modestly propose we all dance to the music of lies that label our president un-American and un-Christian despite all evidence to the contrary.
While we’re at it, let’s blot out civilization altogether with a Sharron Engels, who seriously threatens settlement of political differences by shooting everyone who opposes her Republican perversion of democracy.
What better excuse for a Republican revolution against the rule of law than citing our right to bear arms against ourselves? We "are" the government! So go out and shoot thy neighbor, you government “of the people” casting your vote for total anarchy. Let’s vote in the kind of warlords in America that we’re fighting against overseas.
Suppose we simply cast off all restraints and governmental interference in the market place, celebrating the end of the Bush tax-cut decade that’s tripled the wealth of the upper 2 percent of our nation since then.
Let’s compensate Corporate America, the Cheney-sponsored Haliburton, BP and other such tax-free welfare-for-the-wealthiest by handing over the economic survival of the rest of us.
The deficit that The Ignorant Unaware claim to be so worried about would be trillions of dollars less without the tax-free advantage that takes a smaller percentage of income from the second-richest man on earth than it demands from his secretary.
Many a spare yacht may be sacrificed if the other 98 percent of us dare demand any share of our nation’s amenities and protections. Who needs highways, bridges, education, health-benefits and return on the taxes we’ve paid into the American economy throughout our earning lives?
Let’s hand it all over to the wealthy, gift of the unemployed they label “lazy” in response to the loss of their jobs, homes and livelihood.
Let’s bathe ourselves in gulf-stream oil, choke on polluted air, drown ourselves in the floodwaters of melting ice caps, stick our heads up our behinds so we won’t have to look at the crumbling infrastructure of America, and starve to death in the streets for lack of any sort of social benefits set aside for us from our life-long earnings.
Just call it Socialism if it benefits 98 percent of us. Give a hearty hurrah for The GinGrinch who would steal social security; bow to Banal Boehner for perpetuating the Bush tax-cut that spent our country into near bankruptcy; salute Simple-minded Simpson who defines Medicare as “a milk cow with 310 million tits.”
Applaud, too, the lie that social security is a drain on the deficit when it ought to be common knowledge that every penny of it goes directly into the Social Security Trust Fund which is fully funded up to the year 2037!
Meanwhile, there’s always the emotion-packed drama of a Glen Beck Weep-a-thon and the “entertainment” furnished by the egregious lies of Palinasinine idiocy; the “religious freedom” of bigots to pervert their white-skinned “superiority” into pious diarrhea against a president they’ve reborn into a foreign Muslim, while labeling “Muslim” a terrorist religion.
Let’s cover up our race-proud bigotry by pretending our president is colorfully inferior. How otherwise can those who have nothing going for them but white skin feel so superior to a constitutional scholar, writer, and professor who has succeeded against all odds through brilliance, hard work, and honest concern for the return of democracy over corporate tyranny, only to be blocked at every turn a self-seeking Right Wing Taliban of the power-hungry.
On the other hand, why allow law and order to interfere with personal freedom? When our country runs low on oil, Haliburton and Company, guarded by its hired army of thugs, can bribe their fellow industrialists to steal it from other countries at the small sacrifice of an additional four or five-thousand American troops. Who but their loved ones will miss such a military minority?
We can turn loose the Exxon and BP drillers who destroy our own environment but keep the Rolls Royce population rolling. We can cite “religious freedom” as our most precious heritage as long as our own church and its interpretation of piety define The Only True Faith. We can lie about Muslims in our midst as though the dirty word “Muslim,” like Joseph McCarthy’s label, “Commie” were synonymous with “illegal” and “ungodly.”
Where were you over the eight years that a war-criminal administration was lying us into war; torturing prisoners; exporting jobs for corporate profit; shoving mortgages down the throats of the unwary citizen and destroying the American economy?
And why swallow the crap that confuses corporate tyranny with government regulations against it?
