NEW SMYRNA BEACH -- Police are cautioning the public to be aware of almost-certain traffic delays due to Saturday's inaugural Veterans and Veteran’s Family Appreciation Parade that begins at 4 p.m.
The parade is scheduled to leave from Buena Vista Park on the North Causeway and will travel west on the North Causeway to Orange Avenue, then south on Orange Avenue to Canal Street and east on Canal to Sams Avenue. It will then proceed north to the Old Fort Park. Sams Avenue will be closed to traffic between Washington Street and Julia Street during this time.
"We are expecting traffic delays in the area during this event," police Sgt. Shane Riggle stressed.
