New Smyrna Beach No. 1 after first day of 'early voting' for Nov. 2 elections

NEW SMYRNA BEACH -- Just like in the primary, New Smyrna Beach was No. 1 on the first day of early voting in advance of the Nov. 2 general elections.

The New Smyrna Beach Library had 495 voters, followed by the Daytona Beach Library with 436, the Ormond Beach Library with 411, the Ormond Beach Library with 410 and DeLand County Elections office with 274.

Early voting runs through Oct. 30, Monday through Saturdays. For those interested in partisan races, Republicans outnumbered Democrats, 847 to 815, with 365 registered either as independent or other minor party affiliations.
