DAYTONA BEACH -- Sports cars from the GRAND-AM Rolex Sports Car Series and the Continental Tire Sports Car Challenge will test on the new racing surface of Daytona International Speedway beginning Friday and running through the weekend in advance of the Rolex 24 At Daytona the weekend of Jan. 27-30.
Among the drivers expected to participate in the test include:
* Chip Ganassi Racing's Scott Pruett, Juan Pablo Montoya and Memo Rojas
* Two entries from Action Express Racing - the defending Rolex 24 champions. Joao Barbosa, Terry Borcheller and JC France will drive the No. 9 Porsche Riley and David Donohue, Darren Law and Buddy Rice in the No. 5 entry.
* Alex Gurney, Jon Fogarty and five-time NASCAR Sprint Cup Series champion Jimmie Johnson from GAINSCO/Bob Stallings Racing
* SunTrust Racing's Wayne and Ricky Taylor, Ryan Briscoe and Max Angelelli
* Five-time Rolex 24 champion Hurley Haywood as Brumos Racing makes their return to the GT class.
