ORMOND BEACH -- The outside southbound lane across the U.S. 1 Tomoka Bridge will be closed beginning Monday to begin construction of the permanent water main replacement on the west side of the bridge.

The work is likely to take four to six weeks to complete. Should any delays in the construction occur, the lane will be reopened for Bike Week, which is March 4-13.

Maintenance of Traffic barricades and signage will be installed for the lane closure.
