GOP Congresswoman Sandy Adams issues statement of praise for intelligence and military forces for 'bringing Bin Laden to justice,' but leaves out President Obama

Osama bin LadenCongresswoman Sandy AdamsNEW SMYRNA BEACH – GOP Congresswoman Sandy Adams, whose 24th district includes New Smyrna Beach,  issued a statement from Washington praising the intelligence and military forces involved in the capture and killing of Osama Bin Laden but made no mention of President Obama.

“Almost ten years ago, Osama Bin Laden masterminded one of the most horrific terrorist attacks in human history and on American soil. Now, this man has been brought to justice," said the freshman Republican from Oviedo, whose 24th district includes parts of Orange, Seminole, Volusia and Brevard Counties.

Adams, who rode the wave of the conservative Republican base in November's mid-term elections over incumbent Democrat Suzanne Kosmas and her vote for Obamacare, made no mention of President Obama while heaping praise on the forces on the ground in Pakistan: "It is because of the men and women in the Armed Services and the intelligence community that justice prevailed."

Adams added, "I want to commend them for their hard work, perseverance, and their unflinching patriotism. This is not only a victory for the American people, but for freedom loving people around the world.”

A message left with Adams' office in Washington D.C. was not returned to NSBNews.net.

House Speaker John Boehner, R-Ohio, in a joint statement with other GOP leaders praised the same personnel that Adams cited, but they also included President Obama for the successful capture and death of the world's terrorist mastermind.

New Smyrna Beach resident and NSBNews.net community blogger Bob Tolley, who criticized the behavior of hecklers trying to upstage the congresswoman at a town hall listening session Wednesday at New Smyrna Beach City Hall said he was at a loss as to why she would snub Obama.

"I don't why she didn't give the president any kudos for what he accomplished in getting Bin Laden, but after the hype dies down, the county still remains in huge financial distress with no answers on the horizon," said New Smyrna Beach resident Bob Tolley, who was critical of hecklers
