Edgewater cops: Barefoot robber barrels into woman's residence demanding pills

EDGEWATER -- A barefoot man barrelled his way into a woman's home Thursday and demanded pills before he ran off with undisclosed amount property, Edgewater police said.

The victim was accosted at 10:20 a.m. in her India Palm Drive home by a stranger as she was walking inside and forced her in the rest of the way.

The intruder implied he had a gun, the victim told police, adding he was holding some type of unknown object in his hand that may have been a firearm. He then ordered her to contain her dogs and demanded she give him pills.

The intruder then took an undisclosed amount of property from the victim, when she tolfd him she didn't have any medicimes. Police did not release information on what kind of medicine he was after.

He was described as follows: A white man in his 40s, tanned, but weathered-looking, with straight and messy shoulder-length dark hair. He was 6 feet tall with a thin build, 160 to 170 pounds with no facial hair. He was wearing a button-up shirt with light blue Levis-brand jeans.
