NEW SMYRNA BEACH -- Edward and Patricia Hunt spent the morning with their 5-year-old boy at the beach. Then he was off to the babysitter so they could enjoy a stroll on Flagler Avenue and a glass of wine at Clancy's Cantina.

And why not? The weather was picture perfect with sunny skies on this Memorial Day weekend. From Clancy's Cantina to That's Amore and Galleria Di Vetro, businesses on Flagler Avenue are packed with locals and visitors alike.

"It's just perfect," said Edward Hunt of Edgewater, his wife, Patricia, nodding in agreement. "Beautiful weather and a glass of wine. You couldn't ask for anything better than this."

The Wine Walk at Art Walk is promoted by the Flagler Avenue Hospitality Group. Wine lovers purchase a wine-walk passport for $20 or so and are given a marked wine glass and a wristband, along with a set amount of tickets and a checklist of participating businesses offering wine. The event is from 1 to 7 p.m.
