EDGEWATER -- I first met Ted Cooper when he wanted to be part of Edgewater's future. When Ted decided to run for councilman in the 4th district, he asked me to be his campaign manager. He won with 58% of the votes.
Ted had visions of Edgewater: He loved his city; wanting it to be second to none -- to bring in businesses and to create jobs. He confronted the issues one by one and was respected by his peers.
Ted loved his country, was a veteran of the Vietnam War. At VFW and Memorial Day Services, he made speeches that inspired us all.
I was in Connecticut, when I got the phone call from a friend giving me the sad news of Ted Cooper’s passing. What a shocker. It was a sad day to all who knew him. I for one have lost a very dear friend and I will miss him.

Ted Cooper has walked through Heaven's gates.
