ORLANDO -- This is not a good Sunday if you are an Orlando Magic fan: With the shocking news earlier today that Dwight Howard wants to be traded, it looks like the Magic have plenty of suitors .

Though the Magic have given permission for Howard's camp to talk to three NBA teams about a trade -- the Los Angeles Lakers, the New Jersey Nets and the Dallas Mavericks, multiple spots media outlets throughout the nation are carrying a Chicago Tribune report that the Chicago Bulls may be interested as well. The Bulls, though would likely have to give up Yoakim Noah, the former Florida Gator.

With the Chis Paul trade from the New Orleans Hornets to the Lakers falling apart for a second time, Los Angeles shipped Lamar Odom to Dallas. So that means the Mavericks are not likely to pursue Howard with their cap situation.

Howard is good friends with Derrick Rose, the reigning league MVP of the Bulls, but with the Lakers shipping out Odom, a key big man, Los Angeles appears to be the favorite. After all, Howard has talked up Kobe Bryant for quite some time.

Then again, Howard would be a great fix for the New Jersey Nets who move to Brooklyn next season. There, he would be teamed up with superstar Deron Williams with Nets center Brook Lopez coming to Orlando, along with draft picks.

Don't be surprised if a fifth team emerges: The Knicks. That's right, the New York Knicks, who would readily ship Amare Stoudemire to Orlando for Howard. Imagine Howard in Madison Square Garden dishing off to Carmelo Anthony.

All of these trade scenarios have to make Magic fans sick to their stomachs. First Shaq and now Superman. Almost makes you wish the NBA lockout hadn't ended. The Magic could hold onto Howard and get nothing for him at season's end when he becomes an unrestricted free agent.

With Howard gone, the next best players on the current Magic roster are a toss up JJ Redick or Jameer Nelson. Yikes.
