OAK HILL -- The message I have today is short and sweet and to the point: Let's hope everyone here in Oak Hill and throughout Volusia County will take a moment or two this Memorial Day to remember and give thanks for those who sacrificed their lives so that we live in a free country where we can worship, speak and behave as a free society.
There are many services in local cemetaries and other gathering places on this special holiday to remember those who made sacrifices to make sure our Democracy remains strong. They have served our great nation with distinction so that our children and grandchildren of today will have a better tomorrow.
Please take the time from your party schedule to attend one of these events and to thank our veterans and their families.
