Rain symbolizes tears, sadness. But it also represents cleansing; washing away and renewing. I like to think of it as the latter, reminding me of Neil Sedaka's "Laughter in the Rain," this lyric in particular, "Oo, I hear laughter in the rain Walking hand in hand with the one I love; Oo, how I love the rainy days And the happy way I feel inside."
