DELAND, Fla. -- Sheriff Ben Johnson is confident and eager to put his record on the line in Tuesday's general elections against chllenger Wendell Bradford.

So confident is Johnson that he's looking forward to a victory party Turesday night after the polls close.

And why not? Johnson is the prohibitive favorite, endorsed by Headline Surfer and respected in both parties in this non-partisan race. Bradford, the Seminole County deputy and Deltona resident is a stand-up guy, but he lacks any administrtative experience.

Johnson on the other hand, has worked his way up the ranks, from deputy to sergeant, commander and ultimately, as the elcted sheriff.
