PALM COAST, Fla. -- A 42-year-old Palm Coast man accused of impersonating a law enforcement officer has been incarcerated since his arrest Tuesday, the Putnam County Sheriff's Office said.

Shaun Eric Fuller, 42, has been held in the Putnam County Jail on $50,000 bond.

Here is a synopsis of what happened as described by Putnam County Sheriff's Detective  Donny Jordan: A Palatka woman said she was pulled over in April by a man driving a white Chrysler sedan with a blue light on the dashboard on highway 207 in Putnam County, who represented himself as a law enforcement officer during which he gave her a verbal traffic warning before he drove off.

The victim gave deputies a description of the man who pulled her over and the car he was driving. Then a week ago Sunday, a deputy spotted the vehicle described by the victim and pulled him over, getting his driver's license and car registration. Then after showing the victim a photo of Shaun Eric Fuller and a car like his, a warrant was obtained from a judge and Fuller was subsequently apprehended and taken into custody without further incident.
