Arts on Douglas Group Exhibition Miniatures Exhibition 2009 to run Dec. 5-24

NEW SMYRNA BEACH -- Arts on Douglas will hold its 10th annual Miniatures Exhibition 2009 with an opening reception, 4 to 7 p.m. Saturday. Dec. 5. The exhibition will run through Dec. 24.

This exhibition is open to all the artists represented by the gallery.

This special exhibition features a unique collection of two- and three-dimensional works created specifically for this show.

The only restrictions for the work included in this exhibition is size—all work submitted must be 8” x 8” x 8” or smaller.

Miniatures Exhibition 2009 participating artists include: Susan Bach, Jean Banas, Hope Barton, Donne Bitner, Tom Brewer, Jill Cannady, Marilyn Catlow, Sean Clinton, Giuseppe Corrazina, Rick Crawford, Rainey Dimmit, Judi Dold, Lee Dunkel, Larry Griffin, Rene Guerin, Bryce Hammond, Ed Harris, Georgina Holt, Jane Jennings, Riitta Klint, Rodney Lints, Gustaf Miller, Jan Miller, Erin Mindigo Lee, Larry Moore, Carol Elder Napoli, Lee Nesler, Inez Nickmans, Christine Peloquin, Audrey Phillips, Marilynne Roland, Tony Savoie, Mary Schimpff Webb, Jo Sinclair, Randall Smith, Wendy Tatter, Trish Thompson, Anna Tomczak, Marylee Voegele, Barbara Wagner, John Wilton and John Wolfe.

Some examples of the work included in the exhibition are the serene, abstracted faces and landscapes by Audrey Phillips, the stylish one-of-a-kind ceramic sculptures by Susan Bach, and the distinctive landscapes by New Smyrna Beach artist Trish Thompson.
