"The world has gone nuts... I listened to our President deliver the same garbage that has come out of the mouth of every president we have had for the last 40 years. We are now in another non-declared war (Libya) and don’t believe Obama, there will be troops on the ground within weeks.

So now we have Iraq – Afghanistan, Libya and who else in the coming future. We have schools closing, teachers not being hired, hospitals understaffed, roads with pot holes,  bridges that will fall.

Forget about unemployment, failed banks –failed businesses- bankruptcies - corrupt politicians, hospital and College Board of directors who don’t believe in honestly, truth and taking care of its citizens, clergy molesting kids – kids molesting kids. Even more kids doing and dying from prescription drugs lying around the house - “Pill mills” opening around the country.

God, is this depressing or what? Want to keep reading?

When I was a kid growing up with my first-generation Sicilian parents who worked without complaint from dusk till dawn providing for me – I used to trash my dad because he would sit in from of the TV watching the evening news after reading the evening newspaper, and would say : “The world has gone nuts... I listened to our President deliver the same garbage that has come out of the mouth of every president we have had for the last 40 years…..

We are now in another non declared war (Korea) and don’t believe Truman; there will be troops on the ground within weeks in China. We have schools closing - teachers not being hired, hospitals understaffed, roads with pot holes, bridges that will fall. Forget about unemployment, failed banks, businesses, corrupt politicians and hospital and college boards of directors. Clergy molesting kids – kids molesting kids.

I would say – “Pop you are just getting old. You are an old man”

Guess what? I am saying exactly the same things my father said -- 50 years later. I thought my father was the dumbest man on the planet when I was 16. When I was 26, it was incredible how much he learned in 10 years. The above is a “shout, scream and holler." I have to do that sometimes.

I look at life through rose colored glasses so I don’t believe a thing I just said. I am to focus on doing what I can to make things better for those around me to worry about what all the other people in this world are doing.

Hopefully I am in a better place when this all comes to an end.
