EDGEWATER, Fla. -- A fired Minneapolis cop - Derek Chauvin -- is now on trial accused of murdering George Floyd by having his knee pressed down onto his neck for more than nine minutes as he law on his stomach, handcuffed.

People did try to intervene, but were threatened with arrest by one of the other cops with Chauvin who did not even bother to check for a pulse despite pleas from onlookers to do so.

Thankfully, a teenager filmed the encounter, which is key evidence against Chauvin at his trial which is televised around the world.

We are becoming more and more inhumane as time goes by.

In my opinion any witness who does nothing including the police should have a consequence of that apathy. I am sickened by these and many more incidents that are happening more and more these days.

It baffles me how we got this way. Truthfully, I am glad that I am elderly and won’t be here much longer to watch the world disintegrate.
