EDGEWATER, Fla. -- Ok folks, the election is over so it is time to stop the rhetoric, hate and protesting: Donald Trump is the president-elect so please get over it and move on.

I admit to worrying about what will happen during his tenure but I cannot undo an election nor would I want to try.

This is our system and it needs to be respected whether we agree he is good for the country or not. It is time that all lives matter and we all start looking at one another as people -- not as black, white, Hispanic or anything else other than as fellow Americans.

We have been a melting pot of peoples from the beginning and now is not the time to try to become a bigoted divisive nation. The world is watching and we need to present a united and positive image.

Please stop trying to secede, protesting, beating up people who voted for Trump and stealing their cars and whatever idiotic things that are being done today. It is wrong and you know it.

The Media has had a large part in all the latest craziness. It must stop inciting negativity. We need the media's help, not hindrance, to become a better place to live. The mainstream media needs to stop the biased reporting and focus on more positive stories.

Let us become the great respected United States of America that we used to be.
