DAYTONA BEACH, Fla. -- Yesterday Hillary Clinton ranted anew about her humiliating election loss. And once again she took all of the responsibility but none of the blame.

Her endless loop of blamecasting included the usual suspects, Trump and his appeal to the xenophobes and misogynists, the Russians and Wikileaks, the deplorables who this time she called the nation’s “underbelly.”  But clearly Hillary has been wracking her brain to come up with a somewhat more credible list of those she can attack as responsible for denying her the office which she remains convinced was hers by right.

Beginning with repetition of her standard litany of lies about her email server scandal – it was permitted, she broke no rules or regulations, the whole thing was a giant “nothing burger” -  Hillary shifted to the invention of a brand new group of villains. She claimed that a European family named Mercer, which helped finance the Brexit movement, developed crazy efficient political software which they loaned to the RNC on condition that they raise Bannon and Kellanne Conway to campaign positions of importance. This software vastly outperformed its pitiful Democrat counterpart and helped deny Hillary her rightful victory.

Hillary may very well believe that she was using inferior computer software, but she forgets that it was this very software, or its predecessor, which blew the Republicans out of the water in 2008 and 2012, twice helping to sweep Obama into office. Sauce for the goose?

Then she turned on her own.  Forgetting that the DNC rigged the primaries for her and against Bernie Sanders, forgetting that the DNC fed her TV debate questions in advance, forgetting the lockstep support for her throughout the Democrat establishment, Hillary claimed that she inherited nothing from the Dems. Their lack of support was somehow responsible for her poor performance as a candidate. They were bankrupt and she had to fund them, etc. Poor, poor pitiful me.

Everyone knows that the Clintons and the Obamas hate one another’s guts but the Democrat Party was the Clintons’ toy from the early 1990’s until 2008. And even then much of its Old Guard establishment longed for a Clinton restoration. For Hillary now to bite the hand that has supported her for decades is to carry her pathological sense of entitlement beyond derangement.

What Hillary actually revealed in her latest outburst was her complete lack of understanding both of the concerns of the American people and of how wretched a candidate she really was.

When she talks of the need to prevent the reversal of “all that they have achieved,” Hillary ignores the plain fact that the United States rejects much of the damage done to our country during the eight years of Obama’s anti-American misrule. Our people want change. They want the resurrection of American greatness and they know very well that Hillary Clinton, protégé of the Leninist theoretician Saul Alinsky, an integral part of Obama’s many failures and a corrupt serial loser, would never deliver any such thing.

Hillary’s arrogant narcissism will never permit her to accept the truth – that the people did not just reject the Democrats. They rejected her and she lost - again.  Her inability to accept reality makes one wonder if that famous fall and blow to her head did not do more damage than we know. Truly things have reached the point where, were it not for Nancy Pelosi and Maxine Waters, she might typify the insanity which currently characterizes the Democrat Party.

Hillary will likely continue to take every opportunity to build the myth that she was unfairly denied the office of the presidency which should always rightfully have been hers.

And you know, that’s kind of sad. Though philosophically misguided, Hillary is an intelligent ambitious woman. She married the most complete politician of the past generation and could have learned from him and ridden his coattails all the way into the presidency.

Instead the absence of skills she should have absorbed from Bill, paranoia and bitterness have made her a caricature of the disgruntled loser, spouting sour grapes and blaming the world for her faults and failures. Now she has become political herpes and, like the physical disease, the general concern is how to make her go away.
