Two More Years!

Friends, Supporters & Concerned Voters,

This campaign is coming to a close. Over the last nine weeks I have walked almost every street in this city, knocking on doors and listening to you. I appreciate the overwhelming support I have received while in your neighborhoods and am delighted to find that throughout our community people are interested and involved.

My opponent promises a strategic plan within 100 days, but says nothing about what it will be or how he will obtain the input of the community. We all know that political miracles are the stuff of campaign slogans. I ask you to look at my record.

In two short years we have hired a new city manager, implemented new management
procedures and found workable solutions to lowering the city's budget, consolidating services and forming partnerships along the way.
In two short years we have initiated diverse and innovative redevelopment.

* Beachside: Inn on Flagler in process
* Mainland: Rewriting comp plan for business district along the railroad corridor
* Riverfront: Application submitted for federal funding of Fish & Wildlife Education & Research Facility
* Canal St: Innovative and practical ideas to redevelop the Historic District
* West Side: Redevelopment of the West Canal St. business district in process In two short yearsI have focused on the issues and concerns arising from every neighborhood in our town determined on moving forward in the right direction for our citizens.

Today, I ask you for two more years. I am asking you to go to the polls. I am asking
you for your vote.

Thank you!
Sally Mackay
