Orlando Sentinel: George Anthony released from Halifax Medical Center

The Orlando Sentinel reported on its Web site at 9:26 p.m. that George Anthony, grandfather of murdered toddler Caylee Anthony, was released from Halifax Medical Center in Daytona Beach where he has been treated since he was brought there Jan. 23 by Daytona Beach police.

Anthony was "released a little after 6 p.m., a hospital spokeswoman said," according to the news alert at orlandosentinel.com.

Anthony was brought there by Daytona Beach Police Chief Mike Chitwood after he was located at the Hawaii Inn motel on Ridgewood Avenue after texting his wife on his cell phone that he wanted to end his life and be with Caylee. The toddler's mother, Casey Anthony, is charged with her murder.
