Oscar winner Robert Duvall who starred in movies like ‘The Godfather,’ ‘Apocalypse Now’ & ‘To Kill a Mockingbird' has died at 95

Entertainment Tonight video / Tuesday, Feb. 17, 2026 / Robert Duvall has died. The Academy Award-winning actor’s career spanned eight decades, and he was best known for his work in the films ‘The Godfather,’ ‘Apocalypse Now’ and ‘To Kill a Mockingbird.’ He was 95.

Duvall won the Academy Award for Best Actor for his role as Mac Sledge, a washed-up, alcoholic country music singer seeking redemption, in the 1983 film 'Tender Mercies.'
