DAYTONA BEACH, Fla. -- The Volusia Building Industry Association is putting its muscle behind 10 candidates for public office in Nov. 8 general elections.

Receiving VBIA endorsements for state seats are State Sen. Dorothy Hukill, R-Ponce Inlet (District 14); State Sen. Travis Hutson, R- (District 7); State Rep. David Santiago, R-Deltona (District 27); State Rep. candidate Michael Cantu, R-Daytona Beach (District 26); and State Rep. candidate Thomas Leek, R-Ormond Beach, (District 25).

Receiving VBIA endorsements for non-partisan countywide seats are Volusia County Chair candidate Ed Kelley of Ormond Beach; Volusia County Council District 2 candidate Billie Wheeler of Daytona Beach Shores;  and Volusia County Council District 4 candidate Heather Post of Ormond Beach.

At the municipal level, the Volusia Building Industry Association endorsed Daytona Beach City Commission Zone 2 candidate Aaron Delgado and Daytona Beach City Commission Zone 5 candidate Dannette M. Henry.

Delgado was absolutely thrilled with the endorsement, saying in part, "I'm positive I will not let anyone down in this election. Vote Delgado for Daytona Zone 2. Let's do this!"

Delgado was absolutely thrilled with the VBIA endorsement, saying in part, "I'm positive I will not let anyone down in this election. Vote Delgado for Daytona Zone 2. Let's do this!"
