EDGEWATER, Fla. -- Will there ever be light at the end of this COVID-19 tunnel or never-ending darkness?
The vaccines have begun and spirits are rising of an end to this deadly pandemic on the other side of the coronavirus tunnel that has caused 1.7 million deaths worldwide - nearly 331,824 of which have lost their lives in the US.
Finally things are looking up or so we thought. Immediately after a commentator on a news show I was watching slammed us with this, I was floored: There's a new strain of COVID in England that is far more contagious than experienced here in the US. Boris Johnson, the English prime minister, who looks a lot like Trump hair-wise, was shown apologizing because he had no choice but to stop travel to or from England and having to lock down the country so close to Christmas.

Then New York Gov. Andrew Cuomo came on the same ABC news show and said “someone right now is boarding a plane in England heading for JFK"
And here we go again."
Do we stop a citizen from returning home because of the new strain of COVID virus? Will we shut down again? Will there be a surge of this new strain as we still are dealing with what's at hand?
There was a whole 3 minutes of starting to feel calmer before the next calamity in this pandemic saga. How much more can we take?
Trying to pay the bills in these trying times is a nightmare. So many are without jobs, have had their homes taken from them, are sick with no insurance and are losing loved ones they cannot even visit on their deathbed in the ICU.
Is this ever going to end?
Finally, our supposed representatives in Congress agreed on a new stimulus package to help the economy. Giving us checks for $600 is going to stimulate what now?
Not that I am not grateful for whatever I get, but in all reality how will this help?
But wait! Now Donald Trump in his final weeks as President is threatening to veto the COVID relief bill.
There are days I have to talk myself into getting out of bed to face whatever will befall that day. The world feels like it is in mourning, exhausted and at wits end. How will it ever turn around?
