Sera and I wish everyone a very merry Christmas and a happy New Year. New Smyrna Beach is such a special place to live and make friends. To those of us who make New Smyrna Beach our home, we do so primarily because of the warmth -- not just because of the sunshine, but the abundance of people who care about the quality of life here: From the beach and Intracoastal Waterway to the quaint downtown, historic Westside and everywhere else in between.
This is a good time to remind each other to help the less fortunate among us, not only during the holidays, but throughout the year ahead. We all need to work together and help each other out as we try to get through this tough recession.
