ORMOND BEACH -- Sebastian Janikowski, the pride of Seabreeze High School, kicked his way into the NFL record books for the Oakland Raiders with a 63-yard field goal on the final play of the first half against the homestanding Denver Broncos.

Janikowski's kick proved to be the margin of victory for the Raiders over the Broncos at Mile High Stadium in Denver.

Janikowski, the 1996 kicking star for Seabreeze High School, who went on to play for Florida State University, before being drafted in the first round by the Oakland Raiders, tied the NFL record for the longest field. The record had been held jointly by Jason Elam and Tom Dempsey.

The game was broadcast to a national audience on ESPN's "Monday Night Football."
