Utililities Commission CEO Robert Rodi's resignation effective May 24

NEW SMYRNA BEACH -- Utilities Commission CEO and General Manager Robert J. Rodi is resigning, effective May 28, according to a letter he signed, which was obtained by NSBNEWS.net under a public records request. NSBNEWS.net broke the story Monday night that Rodi had resigned earlier in the day for unspecified reason and that his resignation would take effect sometime in May.

Deputies investigating shooting of brahma bull in Osteen

OSTEEN -- The Volusia County Sheriff's Office has launched a criminal investigation after a brahma bull was found shot in a pasture off of S.R. 415 in Osteen over the weekend. The bull, valued at $7,500, had to be put down by its owner.

The Sheriff's Office was called to the scene late Sunday morning after the owner found the bull mortally injured from several gunshot wounds and an aluminum arrow embedded in the animal's shoulder.

NEW SMYRNA BEACH -- Robert J. Rodi, CEO and General Manager of the New Smyrna Beach Utilities Commission resigned Monday during a special budget meeting of the Utlities Commission, saying his resignation takes effect  in May.

Rodi did not give a specific reason in announcing his decision during the meeting, which was not attended by any media.

Several people, who asked to remain anonymous, said Rodi's decision to step down was the result of threats and intimidation, but there was not more specifics.

Sheriff's Office: Shooter and victim identified in murder-suicide near DeLand

DELAND -- The Volusia County Sheriff's Office has identified the parties in the murder-suicide Saturday night near DeLand as follows: The female victim was Sarah Hille, 42, who lived at 1775 Carr St. The male shooter and suicide victim was Richard Danao, 57, who lived at 3261 Grand Ave. He was Price's ex-boyfriend.

When I jumped into this judging world of glamor, I found out first hand just how hard the life of a runway model can be.

Although, being on the runway is a lot of fun, it is also a lot of work. Runway has its ups and downs and though we are there to work, it is always fun.
