EDGEWATER, Fla. -- The news is awash these days with the story of the murder trial of Russell Charles Bradshaw who was found guilty of killing Lisa Memro.
Circuit Judge James R. Clayton sent the jury into the jury room to begin deliberations at 11:41 a.m. to determine guilt or innocence for 22-year-old Russell Charles Bradshaw, charged with capitl murder in the Sept. 21, 2006, throat-slash slaying of 21-year-old Lisa Memro of New Smyrna Beach.

DELAND -- Seven women and five men have been selected to hear evidence today at the capital murder trial of an Edgewater man accused of murdering 21-year-old Lisa Memro of New Smyrna Beach on Sept. 25, 2006, and then having sex with her corpse.
NEW SMYRNA BEACH -- merchants throughout New Smyrna Beach, Edgewater and Oak Hill are being urged by local police to be on the lookout for phony money -- specifically $100 bills. New Smyrna Beach police detectives say so far they have received three reports of fake $100 bills being used at stores in the city.
NEW SMYRNA BEACH -- A 19-year-old Jacksonville man is being held without bail at the Volusia County Branch Jail on felony warrants accusing him of carkjacking a woman at the K-Mart shopping center in May and taking her purse, police reported.
