DAYTONA BEACH, Fla -- Ray Sawyer, the eye-patch wearing singer with Dr Hook & the Medicine Show, known for the 1972 signature hit, "Cover of the Rolling Stone," died Monday in Daytona Beach. He was 81.

Silver Airways to provide round-trip passenger service between Fort Lauderdale and Daytona Beach starting Jan. 16

The free movies include:

• “Alice in Wonderland”: 2 p.m. Saturday, Jan. 5. Nineteen-year-old Alice returns to Wonderland, where she reunites with her old friends and learns of her true destiny: to end the Red Queen's reign of terror. Mia Wasikowski, Johnny Depp and Helena Bonham Carter star. Rated PG, 108 minutes.
