Gov. Scott visits Bartram Trail High School in St. Johns County on Patriot Day.
ST. AUGUSTINE – Gov. Rick Scott was joined Sept. 11 by Adj. General of Florida National Guard Major General Emmett R. Titshaw, Jr. at Bartram Trail High School to commemorate Patriot Day.
Governor Scott reflected on the terrorist attacks of 9/11 and awarded Jacksonville’s Michael James Jones, veteran of the US Coast Guard, with the Governor’s Veterans Service Award for his service to the Sunshine State and the nation.
Governor Scott said, “Today we honor those who lost their lives in the attacks of September 11, 2001, and pray for the survivors and family members who were affected that tragic day."
