Magic coach Jacque Vaughn, describing Oladipo's performance as "special," adding he told his players after the hard-fourt win, “It was fun to be a part of.”

While Oladipo appears to be a superstar in the making as the No. 2 overall pick of the Magic in the 2013 NBA Draft, Knicks superstar Carmelo Anthony led all scorers with 44 points. But only 14 of those points came after the third quarter.

And New York was up by as many as 14 points in the third quarter before Orlando came roaring back early in the foureth quarter to cut the lead to 86-83.

Aaron Affalo led the Magic with 32 points, and in the process the team snapped an eight-game losing streak to the Knicks. This was Affalo's fifth game this season scoring at least 30 points.

The Magic now stand at 17-40 on the season while the Knicksa fall to 21-34. Orlando will fly to Toronto today for a Sunday match-up with the Raptors, who remain atop the Atlantic division, 30-25.

This was the first game for the Magic since releasing Glenn Davis in a move designed to give more playing time to younger players.
