At $3.81 a gallon for regular unleaded gas , he coudn't resist filling up his 18-foot fishing boat for $130 and his Chevy Silverado for another $70.

He still had enough pocket money left for  bag of ice.

Just two hours after he gassed up at the Marathon gas station on North Dixie Freeway, the prce was lowered even further, to $3.79 per gallon.

"Twenty cents makes a big difference," the 32-year-old New Smyrna Beach resident said of the peak prices he was paying at the pump when gas was well over $4 a gallon just a few weeks ago.
