Volusia County Sheriff's Office excludes Headline Surfer from its public website

DELAND, Fla. -- The Volusia County Sheriff's Office prominently lists 16 media outlets with links to their sites online, including a weekly newspaper that doesn't even exist anymore. Headline Surfer® is the only media outlet excluded from the Sheriff's website, despite its proven track record as a provider of daily news for nearly nine years.
 
Listed are two daily newspapers, five weeklies (one of which stopped publishing two years ago), five Orlando TV stations and four AM radio stations.

DELAND, Fla. -- There are far more questions than answers to why an Ormond Beach husband and wife died shortly after they were found unconscious outside their maroon SUV on the side of I-4 eastbound with the flashers on, which drew the attention of a Florida trooper on New Year's Eve. A full 48 hours later there's absolutely nothing new as to how or why they died.
