NEW SMYRNA BEACH, Fla -- Funeral service for Lois "Dolly" Krohn, age 81 of New Smyrna Beach, who died Thursday at Bert Fish Medical Center, will be 11:00 Monday, July 5, 2010 at Settle-Wilder Chapel, New Smyrna Beach, with The Reverend Luke McKinney, First Baptist Church, New Smyrna Beach, officiating.
Burial will follow in Edgewater-New Smyrna Cemetery, Edgewater. Calling hours will be from 10:00 until service time Monday.
Born in Waynesburg, Pennsylvania, Dolly moved to this area in 1958 from Kirtland, Ohio. She worked for General Electric for a short time but considered herself a homemaker. An active member of the First Baptist Church, she loved her JOY Sunday school class and enjoyed spending time at home.
Survivors include a daughter, Karen and her husband Butch Frye of Edgewater; a son, Lynn Krohn and his wife Cyndie of Williamsburg, Virginia; 3 grandchildren, Bill Frye, Joe & Margee Krohn; and 2 great grandchildren, Charles Krohn and Worldley Frye V. Dolly was preceded in death by her husband, Leonard.
Memorial donations may be made in Dolly's name to The First Baptist Church Building Fund, 214 Sams Ave., New Smyrna Beach, FL, 32168.
