Johneschia Allen, 19, is accused of robbing a Daytona Beach-area convenience store.

DAYTONA BEACH -- A teenage woman accused of robbing a convenience store on Derbyshire Road turned herself in Wednesday night to anser criminal charges.

Johneschia Allen, 19, was being held on $30,000 bail at the Volusia County Branch Jail on charges of robbery with a firearm and use of a firearm during a felony.

Allen pointed a gun Sunday afternoon at the clerk in Kelly's Food Mart, 1000 Derbyshire Road, before walking out with an undetermined amount of cash and some tobacco products.

Sheriff's spokesman Brandon Haught said a school resource officer recognized her in a surveillance photo distributed through the media. The officer knew who she was from dealing with her in the past and the store clerk said the teen had come into the store almost daily, though she didn't know her name.
