DEBARY -- Photographic historian Walter Johnson will discuss pinhole photography at 2 p.m. Saturday, at DeBary Hall Historic Site, 210 Sunrise Blvd.
His talk, “Pictures in a box: The art of pinhole photography,” will explore the history of the pinhole technique, which dates from the fourth century B.C. and is still used today. Johnson, a professor
emeritus at Ohio State University, will display contemporary and historic cameras and images.
His discussion is part of Lemonade Lectures, a free learning series about local history, culture and destinations. The presentation will be in the DeBary Hall stables. Light refreshments and lemonade will be served.
DeBary Hall, which is listed on the National Register of Historic Places, is owned by the state and managed by Volusia County’s Parks, Recreation and Culture Division.
