NSB leads the way in early voting countywide

NEW SMYRNA BEACH -Even though greater New Smyrna Beach is much smaller than Daytona Beach and Deltona and close in population to the DeLand and Ormond Beach areas, New Smyrna Beach is leading Volusia County's four early voting precincts through the first six days with six days to go before early voting makes way for the Aug. 24 primary.

New Smyrna Beach is tops with week with with 1,078 voters going to the polls at the NSB library. followed by 969 at the Deltona Regional Library, 910 at the Ormond Beach Library, 909 at the Volusia County Library Center in Daytona Beach and 656 at Volusia Elections Office in the historic Volusia County Courthouse in DeLand.

New Smyrna Beach had the highest voter turnout of the four countywide locales on the second through fifth days.
