Life's up and down adventures over 50 years include devotion and love for stray and neglected cats

I contemplated calling this blog "The Wild Life," among other things. My last name is only the beginning.

I am the fourth of five children. My parents were hippies. One sister volunteered at Apple records for her idols, The Beatles. One sister worked on historic "digs" in New Mexico in the 1970s. A brother is a recovering drug addict/alcoholic. And the eldest was at Ground Zero on the day of the terrorist attacks.

I adopted two children who are now 30 or near it. I was married to an abuser for 15 years and could not leave. I was agoraphobic for 15 years -- I did not leave my house.
I was anorexic.

I worked with Joey Ramone to put out a fan club for "The Ramones" (Hey Ho Lets Go", "I Wanna Be Sedated"). I lived with the Ramones tour manager for years right after they "retired."

I am now nearing 50.
I'm a "nail tech," happily re-married, have a new granddaughter and my husband graciously shares his three upper-30s children and four granddaughters with me.

I now rescue and do many things to help our feral cat population and help people who can not afford some basics for their pets.

I love cats.

Is it any wonder? Cats have always been the constant love in my life. It seems I must have nine lives, too.

In this blog, I will delve into a little bit of everything. But my main purpose is to help people help cats, and even  dogs. I hope to make you think of things you haven't thought of or in a different light.

You might cheer, or cry or get angry. But it's all "Fur Real."
