NEW SMYRNA -- A trailer towed by a pick-up truck overturned early Monday on Interstate 95, briefly blocking the southbound lanes and causing mid-morning traffic to snarl for more than two miles, the Florida Highway Patrol said.

The accident happened at 9:40 a.m. and with the disabled truck and trailer, motorists were forced to squeeze by through the emergency breakdown lane.

No charges were filed against the driver because it was apparently due to an equipment malfunction and not driver error, the highway patrol reported.

The Florida driver's name wasn't readily available.
